DIY Fringe Hem Jeans

So the other day I was randomly shopping online and I came to a notice that the Fringe Hem Jeans are so in this season and I thought to myself; why not make good use of an old pair of jeans and create something fashionable, at the same time save up a couple of bucks! And I wanted to share my experience with you guys, so here it goes! Enjoy!!

DIY Fringe Jeans:

Step 1: Take out an old pair of jeans you haven’t worn for a long time.

Step 2: Cut off the hem.

Step 3: Mesure around 6-7 cm (or as long as you wish your fringe to be)

Step 4: Cut the ends equally.

Monochromatic OOTD Plus A Massive Transformation!

Hello lovelies! I wanted to share a little something with you about this sleeveless coat, well honestly it wasn’t sleeveless.

A couple of months ago I ordered this black long sleeve coat along side with two other pieces, and to be honest I didn’t really like it because the sleeves were to short and the shoulders were puffy, I kept it hanging in my closet hoping one day it will be useful.

Last week I thought I’d give my wardrobe a makeover and get rid of the things I wont be wearing and on the other hand add some more key pieces. I noticed that I don’t have a black sleeveless coat and that a lot of my tops would look really good with one; so I added that to my “Wardrobe Makeover List” and kept in mind that I should get one ASAP, while still going through my wardrobe I found the black coat and a few thoughts came to me about making it useful and transforming it to a sleeveless coat.

I took a pair of scissors, thread and a needle and began cutting the sleeves off, I threaded the edges and added a little touch to the shoulders, and this was the result!

Best Way To Dress a Straight Body Shape

Introducing the Straight Body Shape, the most common one, also referred to as the rectangular body shape. If you have a straight body then your hips and bust are most likely to be balanced and your waist isn’t very defined. I personally find this type of body the easiest to dress (other than the hourglass shape of course).

The best way to dress this type of body is to balance between dressing your upper part, with your bottom part and as usual define your waist.

Best Selection of Tops for a Straight Body Shape:

  • Off the shoulder.
  • Wide V or U neck.
  • Belted waist tops.
  • Embellished sleeves.
  • Boat-neck tops.
  • Flowing tops around the bust/shoulder.

Best Selection of Bottoms for a Straight Body Shape:

  • Wide leg pants.
  • Embellished pockets.
  • Medium to low waist pants.
  • Full skirts.

A Guide On How To Dress A Diamond Body Shape

Being a Diamond Body Shape means having a full midsection, which also means you usually gain weight on your hips, thighs, stomach and bum. While on the other hand, your arms and legs are shaped symmetrically.

The key to dressing a Diamond Body Shape is to balance the hips with the bust and shoulders, and create a defined waist.

Best Selection of Tops for a Diamond Body Shape:

  • Off the shoulder tops.
  • Belted waist tops.
  • Wide U or V neck.
  • Busy shoulders or sleeves tops.

This selection of tops will add more volume to the shoulders and bust, it will help in balancing them with the hips, as well as adding belts to your tops to create a beautifully defined waist.

Best Selection of Bottoms for a Diamond Body Shape:

A Guide On How To Dress An Inverted Triangular Body Shape

I hope you guys enjoyed the previous post on How To Dress: Triangular Body Shape because today I’ll be talking about How To Dress: Inverted Triangular Body Shape, which is the exact opposite!

As I said in the previous post, the volume in the triangular body shape is all in the hips, where the inverted triangular has all the volume on the shoulder and bust! Which means we’ll have to balance the body again by adding more volume to the hips, and defining the waist.

Just imagine the top part of the body as an inverted triangular shape, and that we have to transform the bottom part of the body to a triangular shape as well, which leaves us with a perfect balanced hourglass shape!Inverted Triangular

Best Selection of Tops for an Inverted Triangular Body Shape:

  • Tops with dark colors
  • Wrap-style tops
  • Shirts and jackets that are tailored
  • Tops with banding at the waist
  • Narrow v-necks

A Guide On How To Dress A Triangular Body Type

Knowing what body shape you are can help so much in figuring out what types of styles work best for you, to compliment your body type.

Today I’ll be guiding you in how to dress a Triangular Shaped Body (or as some call it The Pear). As a Triangular Body, your hips are larger than your bust and you have a nicely defined waist; so don’t be afraid to show that off!

Starting with the tops, since all the volume is in the hips we need to balance the body to give it the Hourglass Shape. The best way to do that is to add volume to the shoulders and to define the waist. So instead of having large hips you’ll trick the eye to  make it seem like you have a balanced bust and hips with a perfect waist.

Best Selection Of Tops For A Triangular Body Type:

  • Boat-neck tops, wide V or U necks.
  • Off the shoulder tops.
  • Tops with fitted waist.
  • Bright colors and bold patterns.
  • Tops with full or structured shoulders.

Best Selection Of Bottoms For A Triangular Body Type:

  • Darker colors are best to minimize your lower half.
  • A- Line skirts.
  • Simple bottoms with no structured or embellished details.
  • Lightly gathered skirts.
