Hello everyone! Ramadan Mubarak and I hope that this Holy month is going smooth and easy with you guys.
Now I’m sure we’re all suffering dried lips and cranky skin during Ramadan but there’s always a way to take care of your skin and keep it looking healthier than ever, of course while fasting you don’t feel like doing anything at all and all you want to do is rest and EAT! lol, but believe me after a couple of days when you start to notice the changes in your skin you’ll come running for a healthy skin care routine to boost your skin up high.
Here are a couple of tips I personally use everyday:
- Number 1: DRINK DRINK DRINK WATER!
My first and most important tip is to stay hydrated, after your Iftar focus on drinking a good amount of water (at least 8 glasses of water from Iftar to Suhoor) to make up for the lack of water in your body.
We all know that water is crucial to keep your skin hydrated and healthy, so keep those glasses of water coming!
Since water will be working its way to hydrating your body on the inside your skin will also need some extra help to stay hydrated on the outside. To do so, try applying a little more of your daily moisturizer throughout the day.
Here are a couple that you may want to try:
If you’re a busy bee and you spend most of the day out in the sun (especially in this hot weather) please please don’t forget your sunscreen! It’s very important to protect your beautiful skin from all the sun rays it’s exposed to.
- Number 4: Maintain a healthy diet:
I know I know, its hard during Ramadan, but at least try to add more fruit and vegetables to your Iftar and Suhoor that are rich in vitamins A,B,C to maintain and beautiful skin.
Pamper your skin twice a week with your favorite face mask, or you can try out My #1 Home Made Face Mask for a smooth, clear skin!
Hope you guys try these tips out and if you do please let me know how it goes! I’d love to hear from you!
Finally we come to the ideal body shape which is the hourglass! If you have an hourglass body shape, your hips and bust are well balanced and you have a beautifully defined waist, and let me tell you this; you can literally wear anything you want as long as you pair the right tops with the right bottoms! How awesome is that?
But of course there is always a way to dress, where you can totally show of the best of your body, go ahead and check it out..
Best Selection of Tops for an Hourglass Body Shape:
Since your waist is your best part, it’s always a great idea to show it off!
- Belted or embellished waist tops.
- Fitted tops.
- Tailored shirt and jacket.
Best Selection of Bottoms for an Hourglass Body Shape:
- Skinny Jeans/Pants.
- High waist pants.
- Straight leg pants.
- Pencil skirts.
- Any length of skirt will show of your great legs.
I hope you guys enjoyed the Body Shape series! Comment below and let me know what you think .. 😉
Introducing the Straight Body Shape, the most common one, also referred to as the rectangular body shape. If you have a straight body then your hips and bust are most likely to be balanced and your waist isn’t very defined. I personally find this type of body the easiest to dress (other than the hourglass shape of course).
The best way to dress this type of body is to balance between dressing your upper part, with your bottom part and as usual define your waist.
Best Selection of Tops for a Straight Body Shape:
- Off the shoulder.
- Wide V or U neck.
- Belted waist tops.
- Embellished sleeves.
- Boat-neck tops.
- Flowing tops around the bust/shoulder.
Best Selection of Bottoms for a Straight Body Shape:
- Wide leg pants.
- Embellished pockets.
- Medium to low waist pants.
- Full skirts.
Happy styling loves! 😉
I hope you guys enjoyed the previous post on How To Dress: Triangular Body Shape because today I’ll be talking about How To Dress: Inverted Triangular Body Shape, which is the exact opposite!
As I said in the previous post, the volume in the triangular body shape is all in the hips, where the inverted triangular has all the volume on the shoulder and bust! Which means we’ll have to balance the body again by adding more volume to the hips, and defining the waist.
Just imagine the top part of the body as an inverted triangular shape, and that we have to transform the bottom part of the body to a triangular shape as well, which leaves us with a perfect balanced hourglass shape!
Best Selection of Tops for an Inverted Triangular Body Shape:
- Tops with dark colors
- Wrap-style tops
- Shirts and jackets that are tailored
- Tops with banding at the waist
- Narrow v-necks
Best Selection of Bottoms for an Inverted Triangular Body Shape:
- Brighter colors
- A-Line or full skirts
- Pants with embellished pockets
- Boot cut or wide legs
Happy Styling!! 😉
